Sunday May 1

Things were better today. Pain was okay and we went out on a walk/wheel around 1-mile Lake, watched paragliders drift through the sky and visited Marty and Oni's community garden plot. Martin was able to walk quite a bit which was great!! It was sunny and beautiful out. M's dad Don is planning to go turn over the garden bed in the next few days. Amy's staying over tonight and M's uncle Dave will arrive on May 3rd and his brother Phil and neice Ainsley will arrive for a week's visit on May 4th.

I really want to come visit Marty but I can't locate his cell number on any of my emails or within this blog. Is it possible that you could post it please?

Thank you, thank you.....

Shelley

p.s. I'm happy to hear that Marty is surrounded by family and friends and is enjoying some time outdoors... :)

hi. i met marty last year in squamish. My boyfriend , Andrew and I spent some time here and connected with Marty to collaberate on how to approach cancer. My Andrew had Metastatic melanoma, an incurable and aggressive skin cancer. marty and andrew shared ideas and similar philosophys on their situations. i am sorry to hear that Martys journey has become as hard as andrews was but through your postings i sense that he has come to a truth about this life and about his journey here and that the love that surrounds him will carry him to the other side with peace. My Andrew has gone to the other side and now he is free of pain, fear, doctors appointments, hospitals, PET scans, needles and operations and what remains is love and unlimited freedom. His physical form is deeply missed by many but his spirit grows stronger everyday. sorry if this is too much, i just wanted to connect and let you both know you are not alone on this journey. love and light to you, Theresa
i made a facebook page for andrew after he passed www.facebook.com/alangsford
